‘Under construction’ is a three-level course specially designed for vocational students. The course prepares learners for work in the construction industry in an English-speaking environment. The main concern of the writers of this course has been to demonstrate how English is used in real-life situations within the workplace, while taking students’ abilities and level of English into account. This is done through case studies and practical situations, through which students learn the necessary vocabulary, and understand simple instructions and conversations with customers.
